Hiring the right team is crucial to any project. My process is to plan ahead as much as possible to give my team clear direction, but then trust them to do what they do best and listen to their expertise if and when we need to be flexible. For this feature, while my shot list specified certain foods and the restaurant atmosphere, I trusted the photographer to style the tables and choose her angles as needed. I sourced and styled the drinks for the drinks page myself.
